Geoscience ANALYST is Mira Geoscience's 3D visualization and communication software for integrated, multidisciplinary earth models and data sets. Geoscience ANALYST is a unique standalone application allowing you to import 3D geoscientific data and models from standard industry formats, and to change visual parameters to perform contextual queries of data attached to any object.

 

 

  

This release brings performance improvements and key new features to Geoscience ANALYST, including long-awaited section interpretation functionality to the Geoscience ANALYST Pro Geology module.

Highlights of new functionality now available in each Geoscience ANALYST module:

Geoscience ANALYST 3D viewer has several updates such as working with data groups and hill shading on

2DGrids, as well as various performance improvements.

Geoscience ANALYST Pro has a new tool to view and interact with datetime information via a datetime movie player.

Geoscience ANALYST Pro Geophysics continues to add VP, UBC-GIF, and SimPeg inversion functionality and processing tools.

Geoscience ANALYST Pro Geology has new cross section interpretation functionality as well as Python-based implicit modelling tools.

Geoscience INTEGRATOR (Geoscience ANALYST’s cloud-based data management system) has simplified themes and improved data queries.

New and updated functionalities

Geoscience ANALYST 3D viewer

Single and multi-directional hill shading visual parameter for 2D Grid objects

Import upgrades

o Shapefile polygons import as both surfaces and curves

o Bulk import of ASCII files via direct comparison of field names, delimiters

Data groups

o Icons indicate what the group represents, e.g. structural data, vector, array

o Filtering in object tree highlights the headers in the data table

Improved performance of draped models in Viewport

Slicer creation using 1,- 2 (section) or 3 (surface medium plane) points

2D profile viewer can now change lines using the arrow keys

Spherical Viewport now renders Octree meshes

Animate datetime data and objects in the 3D Viewport with a dedicated time animation player

o Set object-level datetime

Exporter upgrades

o Curve objects to Datamine binary curve files

o Suggests interpolation limits based on input data spacing

Drillhole designer – option to limit collar dip for target-to-surface option

Coordinate system transformation

o Can be applied to reference and integer data

o Can use WKT or proj strings

Translate/rotate/scale allows automatic inverse of dialog inputs

Masking data can now create the complement via a contextual menu

Compute distance to drillholes can now be performed on draped models

Points can be created from drillhole collars

Object editing – can now insert nodes by splitting one or a selection of segments

o Snap curve digitization to drillholes, lithology contacts and objects

o Secondary buffer displays interpretations in adjacent sections

o Create interpretations for multiple contacts and bodies at the same time

o Simplified contextual tool to create contact surfaces using either the surface designer or a simple (Delaunay) mesh

New Python applications

o Principal Component Analysis (Scikit-Learn: PCA)

o Radial Basis Function interpolation (Scikit-Learn: RBF)

o GemPy (Simple implicit modelling)

Geoscience INTEGRATOR

New simplified Samples theme, designed to accommodate data from the old Geochemistry & mineralogy and Rock properties themes

o Samples associated to drillholes are now part of the Drillholes & wells theme

o New Rock properties theme, simply point-related instead of sample-related

o New query filter option to get records that have any files/maps associated or not

o New option to pull files/maps to their associated object, rather than only the workspace

o New option to select a simple neighborhood when running a partial import of a GEOH5

o Importing multiple files with same headers will not ask to set headers on every file
