Logging Data visualization
RockLab not only supports to view the logging data by table, but also supports data visualization in different windows. Such as,
RockLab can perform the log interpretation of Clay Volume Calculation, Porosity Calculation, Permeability Calculation, Saturation Calculation, TOC Calculation(Total Oxygen Carbon), and Optimization Calculation.
Clay Volume Calculation
The clay volume calculation modules apply various functions to calculate the clay volume using single clay indicator (GR, Resistivity, SP, or Neutron) and/or cross dual clay indicators(CNL-Density, CNL-Sonic, or Sonic-Density). Click the menu Log Interpretation-Clay volume calculation,
The porosity calculation modules apply various functions to calculating the porosity using single porosity indicator (P-sonic, Density, or Neutron) and/or cross dual porosity indicators(CNL-Density). Click the menu Log Interpretation-porosity calculation
Fracture Porosity Calculation
The Fracture porosity calculation modules apply two methods to calculate the fracture porosity. Click the menu Log Interpretation-Fracture porosity calculation
The permeability calculation modules apply various functions to calculate permeability. Click the menu Log Interpretation-Permeability calculation
The Saturation calculation modules apply 4 type methods to calculate saturation, Which are Archie, Dual Water, Juhasz and Waxman Smits respectively. Click the menu Log Interpretation-Clay volume calculation-Method[1-4], the corresponding module window will pop up.
The TOC calculation modules apply two methods to calculate the Total Organic Carbon. Click the menu Log Interpretation-TOC calculation
The Optimization calculation modules apply inversion theory to calculate volume of components (include mineral, clay, pore) in the rock model. Click the menu Log Interpretation-TOC calculation
Rock Physics Modeling
The most commonly used petrophysical methods are Xu-White method and its modified ones, such as the Xu-Payne method in the quantitative seismic interpretation. RockLab provides customers with a highly integrated petrophysical modeling workflow in order to enhance the links between the various stages of rock physics modeling and simplify the transfer of data between different modules and models. In RockLab there are classical Xu-White methods for conventional sand and mudstone and generalized Xu-White methods for complex pore media.
