ECLIPSE 2026.2 is a maintenance and feature update to SLB’s industry-standard reservoir simulator. This release focuses on enhanced well controls, refined grid connectivity handling, thermodynamic alignment with the high-resolution INTERSECT simulator, expanded reporting for CCUS/thermal workflows, and parallel performance optimizations.

- Maximum Injection Differential Pressure Control (WELIDP):
- Introduced in ECLIPSE 100 (Black-oil).
- Enables dynamic well control based on the maximum differential pressure between the bottomhole injection pressure and the average/block reservoir pressure. This prevents exceeding formation fracture limits during waterflooding or gas injection.
- Introduced in ECLIPSE 100 (Black-oil).
- Lumped Completion Reporting:
- Enhanced summary reporting vectors (LW*L) to monitor rates, pressures, and phase cuts across aggregated (lumped) completion intervals without requiring per-node manual post-processing.
