HampsonRussell 2025.0 is designed to deliver practical value by enhancing the speed, accuracy, and efficiency of your workflows.
Enhancements
This release expands the following workflows with additional functionality:
• Cross Plotting: Anomaly and Quality Indicators in crossplots provide clear visualization tools for the analysis of inversion results and for 4D repeatability studies. The Fluid Mu Rho (FMR) cross plotting feature now supports interactive parametrization and can be applied to volume analysis.
• Horizon Interpolation: Added a convex hull boundary interpolation option, enhancing accuracy for complex horizon structures.
• Strata EarthModel: Added automatic alignment to slice directions for enhanced modeling accuracy and improved horizon modeling, stratigraphic grid building, and model building when using trace gates.
• Log Trend Analysis: Now supports facies dependency with enhanced history logging. This enables more accurate trend detection over longer intervals and is beneficial for the compaction trend studies.
Performance
We’ve focused on performance improvements to ensure faster processing and efficient data handling:
• Load SEG-Y as Batch: This update introduces batch loader for 3D volumes for greater flexibility without locking up the interface. Additionally, the loader now supports loading via four corner coordinates for quality control.
• Petrel Integration: Streamlined the assignment of one depth-time curve to multiple P-wave curves during import and added options to export favorite seismic and well data to Petrel. Enhanced import functionality for projects without a defined CRS and replaced environment variable setups with user-preferred defaults.
Usability
The latest release includes several usability enhancements to make workflows more intuitive and user-friendly:
• Customizable Grid Colors: Background grid color defaults can now be customized across most displays, improving readability and customization options.
• Well Data Explorer: Curve summary statistics now include mode and median values, enhancing data analysis options.
• Map Zone Creation: A new option allows users to auto-create spatial zones around selected wells, optimizing workflows that involve Petrel import.
• Strata: Users no longer need a model to run Colored Inversion, simplifying and speeding up the workflow.
• GeoAI: The enhanced control of the network application window allows more flexible management of prediction intervals, and LithoLayer classification QC plots now support customizable display colors for improved visualization.
• RockSI and WellGen: Added a "Display Interval" option for consistent display across wells. A comprehensive log history is now available for RockSI and WellGen predicted logs.
