• When you select the Monte Carlo option and then run a module, the _HI, _LO, and _ALL logs are no longer created for "invisible" output logs.

• Support for multiple-valued intervals has been added.

• The selected processing range is now displayed on the Module Launcher interface.

• The <LOG> Select dialog box initially sets the Set Wildcard filter to the input set name. The Log Wildcard or Alias filter is now set to the value of the log specified in the Name column of the parameters table. If this value does not result in a list of logs in the Logs list on the dialog box, then the value’s base name is tried. If a list of logs is still not displayed or if the selected log is the only log in the list, then the Log Wildcard or Alias value is cleared and all logs in the input set are displayed in the Logs list.

Multimin

• Multimin Model (Editor)

• You can now choose response values for ECS-Walk2 (previously called Linear) or the Litho Scanner tool for INES equations.

• On the Methods tab, the tools displayed in the Neutron Method drop-down list have been reorganized into Vendor groups. Additionally, some of the tool names have been updated.

• Neutron methods are now available for the Schlumberger EcoScope BPHI and TNPH 6.75", and (Anadrill) ADN 8.25" tools.

• In a Multimin model any input log, active or passive, can now be selected to synthesize an additional 'wet' log, assuming brine-filled saturation.

• Pressing the Delete key when the focus is in a table cell now resets the cell to its default value.

• Multimin Analysis

• Probabilistic model switching is now supported. Model results are combined using probability functions where each model has a probability ranging from 0.0 to 1.0. The Multimin results are calculated by a weighted average of all models.

• Multimin now outputs an Ro log, which is the resistivity of the water saturated reservoir.

• NIMBLE

• The limit of parameters that can be solved at one time has been increased from 20 to 50.

• Multimin Layouts

• WCLSH1 (Wet Clay/Shale 1), WCLSH2 (Wet Clay/Shale 2), and WCLSH3 (Wet Clay/Shale 3) mineral fill patterns have been added. These new mineral fill patterns and SILT have been added to the headers and interpretation columns in the Multimin layouts provided with the Geolog installation.

NMR

• All stacking modules now perform stacking according to the same rules; when the stacking window is partially outside the data range, any samples outside the range are ignored, and the average is taken from the rest of samples within the data range. In addition, only frames with values within the stacking window are used for the average calculation.

• In the MRIL Preprocessing modules, nmr_cmr_phase_smooth, nmr_phase_smooth, and nmr_gain_check_mril, the statistic values used are now recalculated for a given datum range, rather than using the global values of the input logs.

• The Noise Extraction (tp_nmr_noise_extraction) module has been moved from the Inversion menu to the Preprocessing menu.

• A generalized module, Format T2 Distribution (tp_mr_format_t2_distribution) has been added to the Inversion menu, to allow reformatting of T2 distribution logs that have not been produced in Geolog to calculate binned porosities. The module can remove zero-padded columns at the two ends of the input array, and also adjust the T2 time if it is defined by the midpoint bins.

• The repeat count of an input array log can now be read from a log attribute. As a result, the T2_BIN parameter which was used to specify the array repeat has been removed in the following modules; nmr_cmr_polc, nmr_cmr_polc_qc, nmr_sbvi, nmr_sbvi_thin_film, nmr_t2_bumps, nmr_t2_cut_cbw, nmr_t2_cutoff, nmr_t2_fluid_subs, nmr_t2_lm, nmr_t2_lm_range, nmr_t2_multi_cutoff, nmr_t2_pc_sw100, nmr_t2_peak_find, nmr_t2_pseudo_single_phase, nmr_t2_saddle_cut, and nmr_t2_syn.

• NMR2D

• When TCP_V data is available, the constant TE_S is now no longer required for the Schlumberger CMR Station (tp_nmr_format_cmr_station) module.

Offset Model

• Limits on the number of characters for interval names have been removed. Database name limits are now much larger.

• Geolog now exports T-surface files with X Y Z column names.

Pay Summary

• Access to the Pay Model Editor is now available from the Project application.

• The Geolog 8 version of the tp_pay_summary module called tp_pay_summary8 is now provided.

Production Logging

• The new Set Slip Velocity dialog box enables you to set slip velocities using a flow map.

Query (new)

• The Query view allows you to enter GeologSQL database queries and save the results as a set in the well database.

• GeologSQL queries now support a SAMPLE_THICKNESS symbol.

• GeologSQL queries now expand comment references in string log values.

Report

• Report view now supports multi-line text in GeologSQL query result tables.

Russian Logs

• Enhancements have been made to the following Environmental Correction modules:

• In the russian_nphi_2 module, you can now choose to use the default values or the true minimum and maximum log values.

• The russian_rk_pl_vt and russian_rk_h_vtau modules have been combined into a single module, russian_rk_h_vtau.

• The russian_gk_ds and russian_gk_ds_rho modules have been combined into a single module, russian_gk_ds.

• The russian_bk_cor_ds and russian_bk_cor_ds_cge modules have been combined into one module, russian_bk_cor_ds.

Ternary Plot

• Pressing the Escape button or clicking the middle-mouse button now closes the Edit Ternary Polygons dialog box.

Text

• The Purge command now deletes duplicate alpha logs.

• For ease of use, the size of the Comment Edit dialog has been increased.

• A Project column has been added to the Sets tab. For sets from included projects, the project names are now shown in the Project column in cells with a pale pink background.

• Quick Find has been updated to find characters within text strings whilst maintaining its ability to locate exact numbers.

• When the repeat for an alpha log exceeds 72 characters, the width of the Repeat column in the Log Values table will be limited to 72 characters wide (values can still be scrolled with arrow keys). A log value dialog box is now available so you can enter data for an alpha log with a repeat that exceeds 72 characters.

• Extra attributes (columns) can now be shown on the Logs tab.

Timeline (new)

• The Timeline view displays a visual timeline representation of the main operational activities completed on a well.

Well

• When multiple wells are open and an interval set is selected in the Ranges window, the list of intervals displayed is a combined list of all of the intervals in that set from all the open wells. To enable you to quickly identify which intervals are not present in the currently selected well or wells, these intervals are now shown with a dark gray background and white text.

• Where you have used a well list to select the wells to open, the well list name is now displayed in the Title bar of the application window.

• When File > Save > Save Well Data As is selected, deleted sets and logs are now shown in the Save As dialog box.

Well Catalog

• The QC and Color Invalid options now detect some value/unit mismatches that were not previously being detected.

• The commands Move To Set and Copy To Set have been added. These enable selected constants, comments and/or logs in a set to be moved or copied to another set in multiple wells.

• A new Table Selection option enables you to select the data to view on other tabs.

• A new Allow Well Delete option, that you must select before you can delete wells, has been added.

• The Purge command now deletes duplicate alpha logs.

• For ease of use, the size of the Comment Edit dialog has been increased.

• The following enhancements have been made to the Well Catalog search functionality:

• An option to search for logs based on the unit category they are in, as specified in loginfo, has been added.

• A search can now be performed using the Log - Date Modified attribute.

• An option to search for the best alias for a log has been added.

• A search performed with Any Alias or Best Alias turned on, no longer returns LOG_Suffix type logs when they are not defined as aliases.

Well Integrity

• A low density ultrasonic cement evaluation workflow has been added.

• Support for normalized ultrasonic radius and thickness arrays has been added to the Casing Inspection > Data Preparation (tp_wi_casing_data_preparation) module.

Well Path

• WMM 2015 v2 coefficient file has been included in the list of available geomagnetic models. This version is an out of cycle iteration of the WMM (normally every 5 years) intended to address the degraded performance of the WMM2015 in the Arctic region.

• Support for the BGGM2018 model has been implemented and verified.

• Support for the BGGM High Definition Geo-magnetic model has been implemented. This model is fully backward compatible with older BGGM model coefficients. High resolution coefficient files have been released by BGGM in 2019.

Well Schematic

• An optional Hole component for defining borehole sections has been added.

• The ALPHA type date log in the Perforations tab has been replaced with a log of DOUBLE type and unit DATE.

• A Date field and log have been added to the other components.

• A Date selector has been added to the Date fields.

Xplot

• The variable text {} expansions have been extended so that any of the well identifier type constants; {WELL_NAME}, {API_NUMBER} and {UNIQUE_WELL_ID} can be expanded where {WELL} is currently supported.

• The performance of calculating logs from cross plots when the input logs are array logs with large repeat counts has been improved.
