Innova Engineering is a powerful piece of drilling software designed to aid operators and Service Company’s deal with the challenges todays drilling industry presents. From the planner onshore to the field engineers on the rig, Innova engineering provides a complete solution in one simple and easy to use package.

Innova Engineering combines the power of multiple packages in to one which greatly speeds up the planning process and removes duplication of data entry. With Hydraulics, Torque and Drag and Survey Correction & QC module, Innova Engineering really is the all in one package to plan and drill your well successfully.

Main features:

•Simple to use interface, in a standalone package that requires no additional software to be installed

•Extremely fast calculations, results for complex BHAs at multiple flow rates / friction factors are calculated in seconds

•Can copy and paste data from Excel, Notepad or any other file type directly in to Innova Engineering which speeds up data entry

•Easy to interpret graphical and numeric outputs available for all calculation modules

•Create professional user customized reports for all outputs in both PDF and Excel formats for all outputs

•Fully customisable charts complete with screen reader to allow quick interpretation of generated data

•Overlay data collected from the wellsite against the modelled outputs for quick and easy comparison

•Supports modelling of complex drilling assemblies with multiple hole opener / under reamer combinations as well as casing / liner runs

•Complete support for complex 3D directional wells

Hydraulics Module:

••Calculates standpipe pressures, dirty and clean hole ECDs, surge and swab as well as a complete set of hole cleaning outputs for deviated and vertical wells

•Support for multiple hydraulic models: Bingham Plastic, Power Law, Herschel Bulkley, Robertson Stiff

•Options for single calculation or sensitivity analysis for unlimited number of flowrates and tripping speeds simultaneously

•Full support for riserless / dual gradient drilling

•Split flow modelling for complex BHAs with multiple hole openers / under reamers / circulating subs

•Incorporate data gathered at the well site in to the hydraulics model and overlay the real world data and the hydraulics model

•Enter multiple pore pressures & fracture gradients and plot against modelled data

•Surge and swab calculations can be calculated for any reference e.g. bit, casing shoe, bottom hole or any user defined depth

•ECD snapshot is calculated for the entire drill string to show how the different parts of the well bore are affected

•Model the effect of stabilisers and casing centralisers

•Quick bit hydraulics calculator, determine bit pressure losses an impact force without having to setup a complete project

Torque and Drag Module:

••Latest soft string model with stiffness correction factor, buckling prediction and viscous drag

•Calculate T&D for tripping and on bottom

•Calculate T&D while reaming

•Calculate sinusoidal and helical buckling limits

•Predict casing wear and drill string fatigue failure

•Full support for casing, liner & drilling assemblies

•Full support for complex 3D directional wells

•Friction factor sensitivity analysis for unlimited number of friction factors, or single calculation

•Models casing flotation / drill string fill

•Friction reduction devices can be modelled into calculation

•Calculates expected pipe stretch and torque induced pipe twist

•Elemental (snapshot) view available for all calculations

•Creates fully customisable charts for all data

•Model can be updated with actual mud data and well bore trajectory in order to facilitate accurate computation

•Charts can be annotated with comments and model information

•Real time data can be displayed alongside the calculated data

•Actual and apparent WOB and Overpull calculations, see how much overpull / WOB is experienced at the bit for a given value seen at surface

Survey Correction Module:

•Correct raw MWD surveys for Z axis magnetic interference with latest short collar correction algorithm

•QC raw MWD surveys for G total, B total and SCC with user definable limits

•Survey SAG correction algorithm, to correct survey inclinations for BHA deflections

•Rotary BHA modelling to aid in build / walk rate predictions

•Well path magnetic interference analysis, calculate the expected error in azimuth for a given amount of non mag spacing. Fully supports intermediate steel above and below the MWD sensor or both

•No need to enter a separate BHA for magnetic interference or SAG correction. All calculations can be done from one BHA which greatly simplifies data entry.

•Full support for minimum curvature, radius of curvature, tangential and balanced tangential

•Supports survey interpolation for both MD and TVD, results can be exported to text of excel

•Produce fully customisable plots for both section and plan views and overlay well plan and actual surveys on one chart
