NORSAR Software Suite 2023.2 is a new major release featuring new functionalities, improvements, and bug fixes. Highlights of the release are a new 3D Point Spread Function workflow, MDesign export functions, a 2D lateral property gradients function and a new dark user interface style. Through constant interaction with our software and services clients, we aim to continue to deliver the best, most efficient modelling tools available, following the extraordinary advances we see in the industry.

NSS Basic Ray Modelling

NSS Basic is an advanced 2D Ray modelling package. It provides interactive model building, including digitization based on a background image, and very fast, interactive ray-tracing for common-shot, normal incidence, and image rays, and generation of seismograms with export on SEG-Y files.

In addition a 2D model can be expanded into a 2.5D model for interactive studies in the 3D Viewer of rays reflecting at selected target points. NSS Basic Model Builder and 3D Viewer are available on Linux and Windows.

SeisRoX

SeisRoX is a flexible, efficient and easy-to-use seismic modelling software which rapidly calculates the seismic response of geological reservoir models while at the same time simulating the effects of complex 3D overburden and source-receiver illumination/resolution effects.

MDesign

The NORSAR MDesign software allows the user to define various seismic sensor network configurations and compute and interpret the detectability and location uncertainty for a user-defined velocity model.
