OLGA-S is a steady-state point model for multiphase flow in wells and pipelines. It has a one dimensional three fluid model for two-phase hydrocarbon and water flow. OLGA-S is delivered in binary form as a library which can be dynamically linked to a driver program, e.g. a steady-state simulator for pipeline networks.
What is new in OLGA 2019.1:
Added oil-water slip for slug body and bubble flow
Previously, there was no oil-water slip in the slug body and in bubble flow. Now, a gravity induced oil-water slip is included in the slug body and in bubble flow. The slip model is the same as used for the annular flow regime.
The main effects of the introduced slip models are:
• They allow for water accumulation in slug body and in bubble flow. Note: Accumulation in the slug bubble part of the slug unit cell is already possible in previous versions of OLGA.
• They allow for oil-water separation in shut-in/no-flow situations when the flow regime is bubble flow.
